How Can
I Help Protect Bears?
The Bear Taxon Advisory Group seeks to work with other like-minded
organizations.
Together we can make a difference for bears.
We can accept checks and money orders to help support our efforts
for bear conservation and education. All donations should be
sent to the following address: Mark
Reed
Bear TAG Treasurer
Sedgwick County Zoo
5555 Zoo Boulevard
Wichita, KS 67212-1698
email: director@scz.org
All donations of $20-or-more will receive a colorful, enamel
collectible pin.
Please include your name, mailing address and daytime phone
number with all correspondence.
We also urge you to join your local AZA accredited zoo and
visit often. Your membership dollars help your zoo with its
conservation programs and the education you gain will better
prepare you to become a conservation advocate.
Support the AZA's Conservation Endowment Fund (CEF), dedicated
to granting funds to cooperative conservation programs both
within its member facilities and in world-wide endeavors including
habitat conservation, local wildlife education efforts and
species reintroduction.
Support legislation that will ban the trade of bear parts
in the United States and internationally. Poaching poses the
largest threat to bears in our own country. Together we can
put a stop to it. |
